A downloadable game for Windows

Neon Breath, a boomer shooter with the "120 Seconds" theme, is my entry for the Jam for All BASIC Dialects (#6).

It was written in n7 (NaaLaa 7) and requires a 64 bit version of Windows to run.  During the time period of the jam I wrote the code (neon_breath.n7), created all the graphics (3D models, textures and other images) and sound effects. However, I did NOT compose the music, didn't have time for it. Instead, I used Music AI (an excellent app) to generate the two pieces of music that are used in the game.

Install instructions

Just unzip the game somewhere and run neon_breath.exe . Windows Defender hates programs created with n7 and will most likely say it's a trojan that can destroy your computer and blow up your car.

Hey Murcas, long time not seen. :)

Cybermonkey? You're still in cyberspace? I gotta have a look at you page :)

Wow, that looks great!  Reminds me of LucasArts "Dark Forces" with some Wolf 3d mixed in.  I especially like the 2d overlay map with the hologram effect.  That's impressive!  What type of BASIC did you use?  Is n7 a dialect of BASIC?  Nice

Thanks! N7 is "basic like" but also reminds of lua and javascript. Someone posted about the jam on the forum, because naalaa was in the list of languages, so I decided to join :)
